Ng Yong Hooi holds an Honours Degree in Social Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia, with a major in Economics and minor in Management studies. She is a certified trainer with PSMB.

Yong Hooi’s experience in the corporate sector spans nearly 20 years with most of that time spent in the banking industry. Her exposure was essentially in the area of service quality, ranging from people development to process improvement.

When she was attached to the bank, she held key positions in banking operations, customer service and customer retention. Yong Hooi had led a service quality team of a well-known foreign bank and her role had taken her to all parts of the country to enhance the service competencies of front-line staff. She was also an appointed quality trainer and a licensed ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ trainer for the bank and as such, has conducted training for all levels ranging from clerical to senior management. Finding that her passion was in training, she went on to become a Principal Trainer for a highly reputable local bank where her forte was soft skills and personal development courses before furthering her training profession with an established training and consulting company as Trainer & Researcher.

Today, Yong Hooi is a full time corporate trainer on areas which include Customer Service, Communication Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Time Management, Negotiation Skills, Presentation Skills and Emotional Intelligence. Over the years, she has educated individuals from the banking, manufacturing, insurance, broadcasting, telecommunication and aviation industries as well as government bodies. Her audience range from entry-level employees to management staff.

For her, continuous learning is the key to success. To ensure her participants’ learning is truly enhanced, Yong Hooi shares insightful and practical guidance to implement best practices that will bring about people development initiatives within the organization. With tools and techniques based on sound principles and practices from real-life experiences, participants found her teachings easy to relate to.

Her facilitating and training style, allied with her personal enthusiasm and sense of humour, is key to her dynamic and informative program delivery. It is her strong belief is that every individual’s potential can be developed and she evokes positive self-response.
